The Rt Hon Sir Jeremy Hunt MP
Jeremy Hunt served as the Conservative MP for South West Surrey from 2005 to 2024 and has represented Godalming and Ash since 2024. Over his distinguished ministerial career, he has held senior Cabinet roles including Foreign Secretary (2018–2019), Health Secretary (2012–2018), Culture Secretary (2010–2012), and most recently Chancellor of the Exchequer (2022–2024).
Before entering Parliament, he co-founded an educational publishing business and the directory service Hotcourses, demonstrating early entrepreneurial success. Locally, he has been deeply engaged in community projects centred on healthcare, education, and enterprise.
Jeremy is also a committed philanthropist. Since the COVID-19 lockdown, he has been Patron of the Hunter Centre in Haslemere, a dementia care facility providing vital day services for vulnerable individuals and respite support for families. In February 2025, he became Patron of the Rowleys Centre for the Community in Cranleigh, contributing to its mission of delivering local activities, social support, and a welcoming space for residents. Additionally, he has raised substantial funds for the Royal Surrey County Hospital’s Cancer & Surgical Innovation Centre through multiple London Marathon campaigns. At the time of his most recent race in 2024, he had already contributed over £470,000 to support the Centre's expansion, vital equipment, and patient care improvements.
