Robert Courts KC, Former MP for Witney & West Oxfordshire
Robert Courts KC is a British Conservative barrister and former Member of Parliament for Witney, serving from 2016 to 2024. He was appointed Solicitor General for England and Wales in 2023, having previously served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport from 2020 to 2022, and briefly as Chair of the Defence Select Committee in 2023.
He entered Parliament at the 2016 by-election, following the resignation of The Rt Hon David Cameron, former Prime Minister, and represented the constituency until 2024.
Outside of his profession, Robert supports several military charities, including the RAFA and the Royal British Legion. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies and a member of the Council of the Air League.
