The Hon Clare Hambro
 

Clare Hambro is Co-Founder of the Italian Conservatives and a long-standing figure in the Conservative movement.   She is a former Regional Chairman for London Conservatives, where she played a central role in strengthening the Party’s grassroots networks and championing Conservative values across the capital and beyond.  She has also served as Area Chairman for London North and as Association Chairman for Cities of London & Westminster Conservative Association.  She was also a national candidate assessor for 10 years.

She is currently the Chairman of the Conservative Party Candidates Committee, overseeing candidate selection and supporting the development of future Conservative MPs, Combined Authority and Metropolitan Mayors and Police and Crime Commissioners. With deep ties to both UK and European politics, Clare has also been instrumental in building bridges between Conservatives internationally. As Co-Founder of the Italian Conservatives, she has worked to foster dialogue, cultural ties, and political cooperation, giving the Party a strong and credible presence within the European conservative family.

Alongside her political work, Clare has supported a wide range of civic and charitable causes.

Her career reflects a sustained commitment to Conservative principles, international engagement, and civic responsibility, and she continues to play a significant role in advancing the Party’s values at home and abroad.
