Gareth Bacon MP
Gareth Bacon is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Orpington, first elected in 2019. He currently serves as Shadow Minister for Housing and Planning and as a Shadow Minister for London and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Sentencing, having most recently held the position of Shadow Secretary of State for Transport.
Before entering Parliament, Gareth was a member of the London Assembly from 2008 to 2021, where he focused on infrastructure, policing, and public services. He has also held senior roles in local government, including as a councillor in the London Borough of Bexley.
Gareth continues to support community-based initiatives, including volunteering with youth mentoring programmes that promote leadership and civic responsibility.
